Wrought Iron Security Door back from being hot dip galvanizedWrought Iron Security Door the job in progressEastern Suburbs Wrought Iron are specialists in wrought iron doors, crafting a bespoke solution to suit your individual needs.

Recently a customer from Croydon Hills, Victoria contacted us, they knew they wanted a wrought iron security door for strength, peace of mind & also to enhance the look and entrance to their home.

A visit to our workshop in Bayswater was recommended in order to view our wrought iron products and to discuss the design as they didn’t know exactly what they wanted.

We were able to assist with ideas & sketches after narrowing down the design type they were seeking.

During the visit, we were able to show them through our workshop to explain the process from the beginning right through to installation. They were able to see jobs we were currently working on, which included wrought iron fencing, wrought iron gates and wrought iron balustrade.

We then carried out a site measure for their door, which is an important part of the process – no two homes or sites are the same & therefore need to be visited prior to production commencing to ensure there are no issues that could hold up a job. We are solution specialists and can always find a way around any issues that may come up during a site visit.

We commenced with production; the timeframe is generally 4 to 6 weeks from job acceptance. Quality & custom-made wrought iron products take time & always look amazing when they are fitted.

Once production was completed, the door was then sent off to the galvanizer to be hot-dip galvanized, this is an extremely vital part of the process for wrought iron, as it ensures the products will be protected from rust over the long term. Without this step, the wrought iron may deteriorate in just a year or two.

Wrought Iron Security Door Powder CoatedOnce the hot-dip galvanizing process was completed, it went through our quality control checkpoints and was then tidied & smoothed off ready to be powder coated. There are many colours to choose from, in this instance, our customers chose textured black which is a timeless & classic colour as it fits in with most homes.

Once the door returned to us from the powder coater, it was then ready to be installed. A day and time were arranged - this is probably the most rewarding and satisfying part of the process for us. To see a piece installed that we have created, and the customer has chosen is a pretty special moment.

Being able to custom make to customer’s specifications rather than having an imported off the shelf inferior product is what is unique to our business.

We make it & we fit it; we don’t use sub-contractors for our wrought iron product installations.

Feedback from our customers is that they’re very happy to be dealing with us all the way through the process, there is no being passed over from a sales representative to a production & installation manager. Here at Eastern Suburbs Wrought Iron, you deal with the same person from the start of the job till the end, as you can see from our google reviews.
